Description

Made this after seeing yet another example of it.

You know, I've only had this happen to me once, and very faintly at that, but all the time, I see artists (comic artists in particular), like :iconilarvitar: (and I know there are others, plenty of them) who have their own lives, their own interests, and yet all many people seem to be able to do is ask when will their work be updated (her comic, in iLarvitar's case).

Now don't get me wrong, I like her comic too, and am happy when it's updated. But for goodness sakes, people. You do realize that when that's all you ask her about, when that's all you say to an artist or a writer is "DO MORE NOW PLZ," you're giving the impression that you don't give a DAMN about them. Only about what they do. And while you may say "Hey, that means you're popular, you should be happy!"

I fail to see why ANYBODY should be happy about being turned into a comic-, art-, or story-making machine by their viewers.

Appreciate the person behind the art, not just the art itself.

P.S. I'm not saying it's bad to ask how someone's progress is going every once in a while. But when you nag, and that's all you ever talk to the creator about, that's when it becomes a problem. There's also a difference between "How's the comic/story coming?" and "Update soon!"

P.S.S. Oh goodness, I forgot, I apologize. The stamp template came from $zilla774
